FP - Non-Established Sites Flip Bad Now?

Well we all know that there are many non-established sites being for sale on Flippa, I've bought 1 site for $11 , 5 unique articles, a unique design... really cheap... Seems that the rate of sites being for sale has decreased on that.... So I want to hear your thoughts about this.

I guess the reason for that is that it is a lot easier to throw a site together and then trying to flip it. Instead of trying to make it profitable and actually having to wait for it to be profitable.

Also many people aren't that good at marketing stuff so it might be easier to just sell some turnkey sites so to speak.

plus most courses teaches building basic sites and flipping them in a hurry.

So I guess the market have become flooded with those type of sites

Ian and Amy (FlippingAwesome) never adapted their business model to the changing times, and just blamed it on Flippa - there's plenty of money still to be made if you do something original.

To be successful in IM, you have to be dynamic and be able to change with the trends.

I think you'll probably find that the actual number of turnkey sites sold is still similar to before, there are just far more sellers so you'll have a lower number of sales yourself.

Another thing to bear in mind is the increase in Flippa fees (featuring) which generally hits the margins quite hard on new sites.

It's good to see the trend moving away from turnkeys, the real margins are in building up profitable sites and selling them for a nice multiple.

That will show me for making assumptions

I don't really do turnkeys, but there is still money to be made if you have a solid upsell process in place.

    Ya,

I just sold a site and I'm really disappointed in what I got and there are so many beginners at Flippa that want the sun, moon and stars for such a low price. I'm really getting sick of them asking for me to install the site and how do you install WordPress etc...

Yep happens, new people... well you can't blame anyone... there's a worldwide crisis, people are moving to the internet for money making..

PS To make more out of the sale, you should offer your buyers WP moving (never tried tbh, but know 1 guy who makes $$ that way)
