Creating a New Website Marketplace

I have been discussing this thread with a couple of members here, and I'd like to see if anyone is interested in working on a new website marketplace (presumably based around the domain names I mentioned in this thread).

At first, it would just be a brainstorming session, but if anything is going to get off of the ground, we would have to come up with specific tasks. Please PM me or respond in this thread if this is something you would consider participating in. We would need marketers, brokers, developers, designers, and people looking to buy or sell sites on a regular basis, so there should be room for a number of people.

I'd just like to add that I'm aware there'd be considerable funding and expertise available to support a viable business plan in this area.

This is something I've been looking into for a while, I actually have a 50 page business plan drawn up if you would like to have a look? Mine was for a direct competitor to Flippa but my personal opinion is that something a bit more specific as you mentioned would be the most practical.

LOL it's ok, I was just kidding. There's a lot of people smarter and more experienced than I around here.

I'd be willing to throw in my analysis skills in terms of creating business and functional requirements for the development team so use cases, business rules and the such.

What you really need is to create something vastly different that reaches a different target audience. No need to compete with Flippa by making "another Flippa".

Any chance of getting a peek at what you will be launching?
