Since i'm still looking for my first forum website to buy, I want to make the most of it with my current available cash. I came across a website in DP, it is not a forum whaso.com but its only $ 23 and its a website directory , according to the seller it has no revenue and low traffic.... is this a good bargain? I'm interested because I would improve it to become a forum directory instead, what do you think?
Most of the DP guys just use cloned databases over and over. $45 isn't a bad price, but I wouldn't want to pay much more than a domain reg fee if the seller appears shady. I do quite often buy sites when I know the seller is full of sh*t - just make sure you pay a fair price for what you are actually getting rather than what the seller is trying to represent.

What is a web directory? just curious. How do you sell them? whats the value?

from what i have seen at flippa, most of the web directories sold above 500$ is the one who has PR4++ , so i guess if you want to sell in good amount, you start builing a directory from high pr domain. The web directory can be monitized in such way :
- selling premium link (the payment sistem usually integrated with the web directory cms)
- selling other text link
The benefit of web directory is, it's autopilot. Webmasters will happily submit to a webdirectory which has pr4++ , because it will give him good backlink for their websites.
