FP - Why Owning Google Search Results Is KEY to SEO

This is an image of a test conducted with special heat mapping sensors detecting where average search engine users of Google look when a page first loads. All you need to do to look for the story and facts is Google "Google Heat Map" and it should show up.


For some this may be an older story, but as we have many newer members here, I figured it would make sense to give a good visual aid for why SEO is critical to ranking high. Enjoy!

Based on this thermal imaging it seem that when you use google adwords and your ad appeared on the right side of the page technically its worthless. No wonder i was getting so many impressions matched with very few clicks.Thanks man!

Do you think that being on the bottom of the first page is unhelpful then. I currently am trying to get my page just to the first page for all my keywords. But it's hard cause im competing with companies like motorola for the top spot.

It is estimated the "lion's share" is approx. 30-40% of the clicks for results in total. Second and third place are considerably lower.

I prefer the latter ....

Something I want to add, though, is that it seldom makes sense to pay someone for "SEO services". Rather buy the necessary tools yourself, learn how to use them and then hire a simple "assistant" who you'll teach everything they need to know. You can get a Filipino for about $250/mo full time - and needless to say, a full time worker can do a whole lot of SEOing! Compare that to the $100 a pop services that typically include running scrapebox for 2 hours!

I don't agree. I might be biased, but I think that if you really want your SEO done well, hiring someone who's specialized in it works much better. Especially with all the Google changes. Only people reading about SEO daily will know what is going on, and how to work with the new changes. It takes off a lot of the worries you would have with just a random worker.

LMAO. good luck getting rid of cloaked content... This is like saying we will make it Mars one day...sure, we will...just not as soon as you may think.

I'd have to agree there. Developing your SEO own skills and building a toolset that will do all the required SEO tasks then running up a few VMs with those tools installed and teach outsourcers to do one component well is a great way to do it. You mentioned Philipinos for $250 a month? I was under the impression they were twice that. $250 is a great price. This is something I am in the process of setting up myself in Oz.
