FP - Need Help: I Could Not find my Backlinks

I have made some backlinks in other websites and commented on some blogs but sad to say the backlinks that i just made some won't register in my backlink finder i'm using backlinkwatch.com, is it my finder or something else? please help

How recently did you make your backlinks? Did you try pinging them to get them indexed a little faster?

well its over 2 days already and i went back to the site, the links is still there but it won't register in backlinkwatch when i tried to look for backlink.

@Imminentdomains when you say ping them does it mean that i have to use pingomatic.com to notify the search engine about the backlink?

I'm sure it would come up once search engine spiders run the website where you place the back links. It is just a matter of time. Just make sure that when you place the back link the settings of the website as to where you place your backlink are on a Dofollow setting so that your links would count for SEO.

You can harvest a ping list of sites, and submit your sites/backlinks/URLs to be pinged. There is cheap/free software out there that will ping for you in multiple places. One place I found a free Ping software was here:

The catch is, you have to register to this site, but is "FREE.99" so you can't beat the price. I have no affiliation with this iste, other than I have used some of their free software and paid too when first getting started in IM (A long time ago in a galaxy very very close by...)

Thanks for the Information. I'm now on the website and i'm actually reading their stuffs. This would be a great start for me. don't worry, we do leave in the same galaxy so definitely i could interpret the language. joke.

You need to give it time. I remember when I used to ask all the time... when will my backlinks show up....

The answer is it depends on lots of things...

For me, I find that they show up if the page the link is on is already indexed, and if the page gets crawled alot, then it will show up sooner.

If the page is new, you need to make sure that it gets indexed first.

Those backlink finders never report ALL of your links. The search engines know they are there though, so don't worry. Just keep building links as you are and you will be fine. Pay attention to how you're moving up in the search engines since that's really what matters.

Backlink finders never report all your links as JXiiXV said, let's say for one of my sites, I am sure I made over 20,000 , but only 565 are shown on Yahoo Site Explorer (Auto Approve comments FTW).

Nothing is 100% accurate, and they show mostly show the indexed backlinks. Always index on where you make backlinks (especially forum profiles, because they are way too slow compared to the others).

I would also recommend majesticseo.com to view your backlinks. Its one of the best I've seen. It's free if you own the domains all you have to do is upload a file to verify you own the domain.


Also just because you can't find your looking in the search engine doesn't mean the search engine doesn't know about they link. They don't always show all the the links they know about.
