On another note, this whole thing seems completely ridiculous. Adsense codes are within HTML which means that I can open up any of my competitors' sites that's got Adsense on it, click "view source" and copy-paste their Adsense code. I can then put it on a site that grossly violates G's terms and conditions and - voila - my competitor is blocked from Adsense.

Or did the site have a separate channel ID? In that case, would it perhaps be enough to just delete the channel (although you'd still be getting clicks even if the channel doesn't exist).
Google is like "Big brother online" he knows what sites you own. I'm not trying to sound paranoid, but everything at that company is such a big secret. They have probably the most advanced technology to detect that stuff. I think they couldn't detect it because my buyer was still on my shared hosting at that time. So the hosting IP address was still pointing towards me.

I thought I mentioned this elsewhere, but couldn't find it with a search... I've used LastPass to share Cpanel user names & passwords as well as set up a temporary FTP account and provided that (and deleted afterwards).

One note on the LastPass thing... even though you can share access without revealing the password, what I _haven't_ tested is if they can still save the password to their browser's password manager.

That is, I share my Cpanel access with Imminentdomains, without revealing the password. Imminentdomains logs into the Cpanel with LastPass _but_ then his browser says "would you like to save this info". Imminentdomains clicks "Yes" and voila -- he can now see my info via his browser's password manager.

Have to figure out if LastPass knows how to work around that...

It would be.. but I just tested and seems it's not as secure as you'd think. (Those who know of LastPass know you can share access, without revealing the password, or you can decide to share the password as well -- so you can share Cpanel access to an outsourcer without sharing the password, while also sharing access to your bank account with your spouse while also making the password viewable.)

I just shared three logins (without revealing the password) with my wife's account, then logged into her LastPass account. Sure enough the passwords weren't available, but when I logged in, Google Chrome asked if I wanted to save the password. I said "yes", and sure enough I could then view it.

Or at least that's how it worked using Google Chrome and Mac OS 10.6.

I'll have to check LastPass support on this at some point, but right now... back to the drawing board :< .

You can specify in your account on which sites URL you want your Adsense code showing on. So no one can put in danger your account using it on warez/porn sites without your permission

Brett, did you ever get feedback from Lastpass on this? Thanks!

Never did Musk -- didn't boil up to the top of the list, sorry.

I still use LastPass, but will create new accounts / passwords for others and share those.
