One note on the LastPass thing... even though you can share access without revealing the password, what I _haven't_ tested is if they can still save the password to their browser's password manager.
That is, I share my Cpanel access with Imminentdomains, without revealing the password. Imminentdomains logs into the Cpanel with LastPass _but_ then his browser says "would you like to save this info". Imminentdomains clicks "Yes" and voila -- he can now see my info via his browser's password manager.
Have to figure out if LastPass knows how to work around that...
Imminentdomains (March 2nd, 2011)
that would be super cool if this was confirmed to be secure! Keep us updated, please.
I just shared three logins (without revealing the password) with my wife's account, then logged into her LastPass account. Sure enough the passwords weren't available, but when I logged in, Google Chrome asked if I wanted to save the password. I said "yes", and sure enough I could then view it.
Or at least that's how it worked using Google Chrome and Mac OS 10.6.
I'll have to check LastPass support on this at some point, but right now... back to the drawing board :< .
Never did Musk -- didn't boil up to the top of the list, sorry.
I still use LastPass, but will create new accounts / passwords for others and share those.
