FP - selling sites with themes or plugins DLed from BHW or other sites

I decided to take the plunge on Flippa a few weeks ago. I built a few wordpress niche sites and plan to put them up on Flippa to see how much i can get for them..I do some stuff to the sites to make them more valuable.

I have DLed some premium themes and plugins, now that I am ready to flip some of these sites I am wondering if its a good idea to use these themes and plugins. When I make the listings i probably will not advertise these themes and plugins,Im not going to say "Hey this site has such and such theme which sells for 40bucks included" I just used them cause it makes the sites look better and makes it easier for when i was adding content.

Im I just being a pussy or should I actually go out and buy these themes and plugins to be on the safe side? I wanted to wait to see if I have success with selling my sites, i figure if it goes well I will just buy them so I don't have to worry about anything

For my take is... for the first few small flips, we can use them (although risky) but once you have made the profits from selling those sites, go get a developer license for your favorite theme. If you are doing this for the long haul, then getting a license is mandatory and will save you countless of problems down the road.

There are a couple of plugins & themes I really like but to get them at this point in time is really > tough < as we ain't makin' that kinda money yet. I say, after 3 small flips, we can at least get a developer license - hopefully.

It's really up to how comfortable you feel doing it. I have some themes I downloaded off of BHW and I always include them with the sale of my sites. A lot of times the theme is what makes the site what it is, so why wouldn't you include it? When people check out your site and see a certain look and feel to it, then proceed to place a bid, they are bidding on what they have seen and I'm sure they wouldn't be happy if you switched the theme on them. (At least I wouldn't, I can't speak for everyone though).

Plus, mentioning that you're running a premium theme on the site worth X amount instantly adds value to the site.

I think the chances are very slim that you will ever get caught using a theme that you downloaded off BHW or anywhere else, but again, it's really up to you.
