    Hi BrettM,

Thanks for your comments and I agree with them.

I did let the feedback expire and approached Flippa. Their response was quoting their Terms and Conditions which basically boiled down to no care and no responsibility. Particularly, telling me I should be mindful of knowing who my buyers are.

So I will leave well alone and will keep my policing hat nicely tucked away in the cupboard (-:

    cheers

Re: What's the worst auction/selling experince you have ever had?

    Hi all,

Got another one...as it has just happened. I had an auction in progress. Bid comes in at $85. Based on past experience, bids will finish around $120 which is expected for a brand knew autoblog site. Some turkey comes in with a bid of $750. Auction over!!! Of course this was a spam bid. Checked the user...only registered on Flippa for one day. I played the game and contacted him..surprise...surprise...no response. I contated the highest bidder (the $85 bid) and the response was they are interested in purchasing. I have also contacted Flippa and run this by them. Still waiting on a response from them...but I am expecting a reference to their terms and conditions and I probably will not be able to do this.i.e sell to the second highest bidder.

the point of all of this is...do we do autoexcept bids or not?

One of the reasons I have been auto acceting bids is I live in Australia...99% of my buyers are in the states...different time zone. A great majority of my auctions finish while I am safely tucked up in bed.

So I am asking for your views on...

To auto accept or not to auto accept bids.

    What does everyone else do?

    cheers

    See Bryan's great post here:

Time zones are a challenge, but you're probably spending more time dealing with this issue then manually accepting bids. Place a prominent mention close to the top of your listing that all bids will be reviewed and accepted during X - Y times Australian time.

    Good luck with this one!

I ended up getting the site after I threatened with a paypal dispute. So not a bad deal I ended up getting a refund for part of the purchase.
