a quick one to find out where we all are
I live in Sunny Thailand, south of Bangkok in a City called Pattaya
Just think Sodom and Gomorrah on major steroids
About 320 days a year sunshine, plus 24/7 party city when you want it

Been thinking about a moveto Chang Mai near the end of this year. Definitely want to go to Thailand somewhere though. Any breakdown on Cost of Living over there. I always hear ranges from my research.
Currently in Montevideo, Uruguay. The only thing I like about this country is the privacy everyone has. Aside from that, it is too third world for my taste. The internet blows, the people are lazy. I like the countryside with access to the "hustle and bustle"
Chang Mai is indeed a beautiful city
Re cost of living each city is different in Thailand but as a ballpark here are my views
the USD to Baht is about 1:30 at the moment
Nice place to stay about 12-15,000 a month
Food is cheap, very cheap, 200/300 a day is very easy
Water electric about 2000/2500 a month if you have aircon full blast , up north not needed as much ( down here its 28c at 3am!)
Internet (not great but getting much better) about 1500 a month for 16gb service
then anything else you want to spend your cash on- most everything else is cheap if you rent (if you get my meaning)

Living in Helena, Montana USA here. Beautiful wide open country, snow in the winter, we actually have 4 seasons instead of this summer and next summer. The mountains are fantastic and let's not even mention the fishing possibilities.
Oh and a low population helps.

I have to see Montana too.Love the whole "don't **** with us" mindset up there. IRS goes there and gets shot down the next day. The best part is, no one knows what happened to him

LOL
They just introduced a bill that would make it illegal for federal officials to come in and arrest someone without telling the local sheriff about it. If they pass it they could arrest the federal officer for breaking state laws.
Gotta love the independent nature of the people {up|over|down} here.
Niagara Falls area, Canada. Close to lots -- tourism (Niagara Falls as well as Niagara-on-the-Lake), medium-sized cities (for Canada) -- like St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, and Hamilton (as well as Buffalo), not far from Toronto, and 3 major airports within 90 mins.
Other then that, beautiful area, temperate (again... for Canada) and squashed between two of the great lakes!
Hi all,
Living in Sydney, Australia. Australia is paradise and I would not like to live anywhere else!!!
cheers
I live in Libya (Well currently not there, waiting for situation to get better!) and we have war!![]()
Well Libya is a nice country, but its a bit corrupt, if tourism was added, and some other small changes, would be a really great country.......
Why is Libya nice?? Everyone there is rich, nobody is homeless, they all have good jobs, driving super expensive cars, you scratch a car, its like you bumped into a person and just put up your hand and say sorry.
It's very luxurious , people are living in a great way, everybody has cool phones, cars, wealth, mansions, but people are also happy.
But the bad part is that you cant own property in Libya, and if you are in the government, or know a person in the government, you can basically do many stuff, drift, the cops cant do anything.....
@Luka: I hope you are able to get back to your country soon. It sounds very nice! The side you tell is definitely not what is heard on the news. Then again, the news rarely offers to show the good side of anything.
I live near Tampa, Florida USA. What makes it special is the nice warm weather and the beaches that fill up with scantily clad women 7-8 months of the year!![]()
