I have also never had an issue with Paypal, I do have a fully verified business account with them so this may be why I have not had the problems some of you have described.

One thing I do when I know a large amount of money is going into my account is contact Paypal as soon as I know the details and inform them it is happening.

The other way you could do it is paid directly into your off line bank account, in the UK it is BACs transfer (bank to bank) not sure what the US equivalent is

That, IMHO and from everything I have heard, read and experienced, is the best advice you can get... It's the unexpected that sets off the alarm bells, so calling them and forewarning is definitely the best way to proceed.

Agreed johnsonp -- if we think about it, anyone, business or not, hates surprises... and when they get surprised they protect themselves until they can verify what's going on. So if you eliminate the surprise, you're probably 99% good.

Yes, great advice and this actually applies to a lot of the bigger merchant account companies as well. It's a bummer to suddenly crack the "make money" deal and then find your success hampered by investigation! Even banks get jerky when lots of money comes into your account fast.
