    Flippa SEO now working

From where I'm sitting Flippa is now #1 in Google for Buy and Sell Websites and other similar terms and #2 for Buy Websites and for Sell Websites. It took a while, but congrats guys, you beat some big boys like websitebroker and entrepreneursjourney who've been hogging those spots for a while now.

If you want to see the SERPs without all the crud of search personalization and the such you can use http://www.scroogle.org

Those results above were from Scroogle. In google.co.uk SERPs websitebroker and buysellwebsites still beat Flippa.

I've been using Scroogle for years. Yes, it removes personalisation but I use it also to see what the Americans are getting i.e. to remove Google's geo-messing.

Thanks Clinton. Patience is indeed a virtue when it comes to SEO. Still room for improvement on some other juicy terms though.

Good luck with that. Obviously, free traffic is always better than PPC.

Is it you who does the SEO for the site, or is it outsourced?

Nice work. Do you have a background in SEO, or is this something you are picking up now?

Nice job, but really there should have been little to no direct SEO work to be done here. Flippa is the premiere website marketplace so the listing for those terms should come naturally. Of course, that is the real way to do it anyhow -- by being the BEST at what you do!

Not fair, not fair. Why do they make you do everything around there?!

But I do know you've been plugging away at it. I see little pieces of evidence around that you've been working on the SEO. You're even catching up on terms that I've pretty much owned for years - like website due diligence.

Benitez - I've been doing SEO for a few years now, although I wouldn't label myself an expert.

Christophervel - from an SEO point of view, Flippa is fortunate to have great backlinks - due to it's popularity, so our focus has mainly been on on-site SEO and content creation.

Clinton - Ha! As a small team we all pitch in on a variety of tasks.
