FP - What do you think about selling autoblogs??

What do you guys think of selling autoblogs? I hear you can't make as much which is ok with me (but I would like to make $2000-$3000 a month). Do you think it is possible.

Is it a legitimate business? I want to be ethical, I see most of the sellers are in Eastern Europe and Asia, which strangely troubles me (I can't put my finger on it why, maybe because I think there are a lot of scams from those countries!!) Please don't flame me for saying that!!

I would rather just build my own sites and not bother with buying existing sites and trying to build traffic (I truly hate backlinking) I realize you can outsource that. I actually enjoy the research part.

Is there a good course on selling autoblogs? I already have the killer flipping secrets course but I need more info on what themes to use/what plugins/what kind of BIN's to offer. I know I could just copy the themes/plugins/BIN'S on flippa.

I keep hearing Google doesn't like autoblogs, but also I hear if you change up the content a bit that is a better way to utilize them, and once again I don't want to do that, I would rather leave that to the buyer, I like the research/build the site....then move on to next site.

Re: What do you think about selling autoblogs??

    Hi Jlady,

It's a market that has been around a while, so it would be fair to asssume there is *some* profit in the industry. Some argue that autoblogs don't work, others swear by them - but in this case this is largely irrelevant as I'm assuming you will be selling them without traffic/revenue/guarantees.

No reason why it's not a legitimate business, as long as you are honest.

I'm not up to date with the latest courses, but I'd be surprised if there are any "secrets" that we don't have covered here or can't be answered by one of us.

It might be a good idea to go through all the successful (ie sold more than 10) sellers on Flippa, Warrior Forum etc and note down what each of them does, what plugins they use, themes etc. Once you've got notes, find what is common across all of them and then find something you can improve on (I would not advise competing on price).

One thing that is essential at this end of the market is upsells. For me, selling sites in the $XXX,XXX range, an extra $10 a month doesn't really make a difference, but at $100 profit per site, it definitely does.

Some things you should definitely offer:

    - Hosting. Get a reseller account and charge $7 a month.
    - SEO. Outsource to Fiverr and add a mark up.
    - Consulting (add this as a free bonus - an hour with you to discuss growing the site).
    - Monetization referrals - CPA networks etc will often give you a % on your referrals lifetime earnings.
    - Other sites. Offer bulk discount to buy 5/10 sites etc.

It will take a while to build it up to be profitable, but once you've got the hang of it it's quite a decent business model.

    Hope that helps.

autoblogs are rubbish, but spin the idea and have an article directory instead

Submit the domain to article marketing robot, slip the domain into some lists and let other people do the work for you

What do you mean by slip domain into lists?? Do you mean a generic article directory or more focused on a topic?? I have thought of more focused but then basically it is an autoblog???

Auto-Blogging isn't really all that bad if you take the time to SEO the articles you have auto-posted. I have a few "Auto-Blogs' that I go in and format the articles so that each is at least 90% SEO/LSI compliant with the Google standards. It takes me about 15 minutes to change an article.

There's a general format, if followed, works very well.

A note: The articles are PLR articles that I change and not the articles you can get from Ezine Articles and such.

As far as "Duplicate" content goes that's, for the most part, a lot of hype. Duplicate content is a problem when the SEs find it on your site and not other sites.

    Just a thought.
