Pick some experts brains and social issues

With all due respect to you, detailed business research is something you have to do yourself. No one here is going to do that for you.

Is there money to be made in these areas, I would assume so. Are you going to get rich? Probably not, although I could see suggestion 2 being a bigger potential money earner, although suggestion 1 would be much easier to launch.

Is your goal to help people and make money or is your goal to make money and help people? Because those are two very different goals.

With all due respect back (an in the nicest way as communication especially written can be miscommunicated) the idea is both. If Clinton is happy I will be more than happy to write a thread elsewhere on the forum on the aspect of Social Enterprise in more detail. In short it is not a Charity, but is definitely a business....the simplest example would be to start a Cafe and provide employment for those most in need, the business is self sufficient and provides a wage for all involved, business not grant or government funded, but can not make a profit. All profit has to grow the business further or go back into the community.

Also (said, very nicely again but for clarity), I am not after others doing detailed business research for me. I have met people on here in the past with vision and intelligence (including yourself) and am using the thread to help me with a brainstorm and hopefully make others aware of one of the fastest growing and ethical business models in the world.

@ Kay, I would really love to discuss some more (that includes all by the way).

I understand the concept, but I also know that is can be abused (not saying that you will do so at all). One can draw a large salary as the manager and that would be completely legal and meet the definition of the above, much like a charity as their would be no "profit" per se.

I'm not against brainstorming and the rest of the thread has been but if someone posted a thread stating "I need to make money, what suggestions would you have?" and then as a reply to a post asked how much money they could make, how would they market it, and who would their competition be then that would be, IMHO, basic market research that they would have to do for themselves.

I think the thread has gone much further than where I thought it might go based on the post that I quoted originally. You've started some great conversations here and it will hopefully lead you to where you want to go and help others at the same time.
