Aha! We've always tried to work it out from their stock market declarations by using total earnings less "cost of acquisition".

We can't take that to mean that our share was always 68%. Google adjusts it on a publisher by publisher basis - via smartpricing etc - so your actual cut could vary widely from year to year while Google's aggregate rev share figure remains unchanged.Google also said the revenue share of 68% has never changed ... I could have sworn I always knew it was 66%. I just have no idea where I read that. It was many years ago!
