Reminder: Don't forget the star button ;)

Following four PM conversations I've had in the past week, I thought I'd remind everyone of the little star below each post.

Like someone's post? You can click the ThankYou button or the star or both. The ThankYou shows publicly, the star adds points to the user's reputation. Reputation points are unseen by the public but they helps towards the receiver getting another green bar. This star option also gives you the opportunity to type a few words to say why you liked their post. Members appreciate getting those little notes which they can view by clicking the Settings button next to the My Profile link at the top of the page.

More on reps and thank yous at this thread.

Please be generous with rewarding the people who take the time / trouble to make an intelligent / helpful post.

It doesn't matter how old the post is, you can still give it ThankYous or Reps! This applies especially to the FlippingPlanet threads we imported, threads which many of you probably haven't seen before but is just as valid for any EP blast from the past.

    Happy repping.

Well we learn something every day, I often wondered why I would write comments in the box if no one could see them.

Ah! I didn't know that, very interesting, from now on I'll explain why I'm giving rep and I've just been reading through mine, it makes me want to be contribute more when I can see why people liked a post. I don't think I really got the rep tool till just now.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Clinton again.
    It's not working

Before the FP merge it was also possible to see the comments by pressing the rep button on your own posts.

Maybe I was the only person that tried to rep themselves to see what happens :P
