What business? Each business requires it's own specific set of skills. Very few of the skills you need to run a business online are so ubiquitous that they'd apply to any random business.

Actually, that's a very interesting question, bmw650. For most website businesses you'll need to know the basic of webmastering - how to renew a domain, how manage a hosting account, how to FTP files. And the more you know about webmastering the better the position you're in. There's no strict demarkation lines - webmastering includes everything from writing a htaccess file to SEO to page design to copywriting to getting links to analysing your traffic logs. I'm still learning much of that stuff today after a decade in this business!

You'll notice that the emphasis here is on webmastering skills rather than normal business skills like accounting, hiring staff, doing your taxes.

As peter says, though, specific website businesses would require different skills. An affiliate site or product selling site may require an owner who is very good at PPC. A content site would require someone who's good at writing articles in that subject. A site providing SEO or marketing or PR or link building services could benefit from an owner who is good at those services.

It may be better to look for a website that matches your specific skills rather than doing it the other way around. In any case, brushing up on any general webmastering subject can't hurt.

Bear in mind that many website sellers are willing to coach you for a bit on running of the site.
