Good price for them IMO. I wouldn't have gone that high.

... And the new owners have abandoned it ...with the last post two and a half months ago.

C'mon guys, I thought there was money in talking about flipping. Where have you gone?

If there is, will someone tell me so I can get paid

Before I got into the "talking about flipping" industry, I had a theory that it was a little like running a restaurant - something you'll do because you have time, passion and the thought of potentially losing money doesn't really scare you anymore. Making money from it is more likely a bonus not a given!

If that's how you think you seem to be in the minority, Justin. The talk - from Flippa's own sagely advice to their sidekicks' enthusiatic babble - is all about how it can make you lotsa, lotsa moolah.

BTW, I did consider buying a restaurant at one point. I can assure you it was very clearly for monetary reasons and not altruistic or culinary ones.

Just to clarify my comment was on Flipping related blogging not Flipping on the whole!!

I've been in food for a while and currently do well out the catering business (mostly thanks to many of my competitors going bump and no 1 or 2 search positions); I do very very little work, have an office next to freshly baked cakes and currently get a pre tax net of about 29% which is way above average for what we do. Prior to that when I had retail though, it was honestly one of the worst times of my business history as so many things felt out of my control.

A restaurant, deli or nightclub is certainly one of those businesses that you have because you love and if you make money, it's an (unlikely) bonus! Food or drink production however is a different ball game.

I can see you more as a nightclub owner though Clinton

    flippingawesome.com:

Due to unforseen circumstances, Flipping Awesome will be offline for a short period of time. Thanks for your patience whilst we resolve the current situation.
But it's been down for quite a while now. If you try to get to an internal page it comes up with Hostgator, the hosting company's error page.

Anyone think the site's coming up for sale again? Just thought I'd mention it here as I know there are some in the site flipping industry.

    Another one bites the dust

The only "value" in the site before was the small following and "flipping course" - now that's gone, I can't see it going for much even if it does come back on the market.
