    Google must be working on a process to automate some of the check as 4 million copyright removal notices is a LOT of manual work to follow-up on, especially if the signal does not prove as valuable to the webspam team as originally through. It is a good idea in that it will help penalize content thieves for stealing and overall a net positive as long as it is not abused as a negative SEO tactic.

    Another service I have come across this week to track scraping of content is ScrapeShield from Cloudflare .

    The linked article claims even a single line of copied content will be detected. Its free as well so may be worth a trial.
