Next time you have a forum that isn't doing well with Adsense, let me know and I'll buy it from you. Active forums only, of course.

new here and I figured I would chine in with my experience.... Adsence works great on my forums. $5k a month and I mainly run it on unsold space in my off topic forum.

I have a nsfw style forum that is private, ( requires a paid membership $20 a year) and we just don't display adsence in the forum to comply with google tos.

I think you should just list it on Flippa. There are enough forum buyers who regularly visit Flippa, that you'll most certainly get market value for it. I wouldn't suggest that in all cases, but it's a car forum and those are sought after by a lot of buyers, and you seem to be struggling with figuring out a valuation and letting it go on the open market is a good way of finding its true value. The downsides of selling forums on Flippa is you don't get to choose who your buyer is, and if you care about the community that is something that you should be careful with. And, for some niches there might not be enough interest to get bidding going and you might get a better price selling privately. But, with an active automotive forum, I think Flippa is a good bet. You can always set your reserve at the minimum you'd sell for, then if you're not happy with the bidding you don't have to sell it.
