It's not looking good for .co domains

There's quite a few of them for sale in 'bargain bin' forums. Anything from $5 - $20. Names which would be considered to be premium and/or generics if they were on the .com.

It doesn't look good.

I have a couple of nice .co domains but it doesn't look as though I'm gonna be able to retire any time soon on the sale of them.

Today and tomorrow hundreds of 3 letter dot co domains will get dropped. Good opportunity to buy.

It's only a good "opportunity" to buy if they're worth buying. LOL

Does anyone still think they are? I must admit, I've not been impressed with the market for selling .co domains.

I might pick up one or two, but it wont be to resell them. Will be to use them as shortcuts to my longer URLs. In fact ... <wanders off after shiny .co drops> ...

I can't believe how aggressively one very large domain-selling company is pushing .co domains in their advertising. While there are certainly some names that would still be valuable as a .co domain, the ads are clearly aimed at newbies who are going to get burned. It reeks, if you ask me.

I have bought one .co domain, because it was a match for another domain I own, and I wanted to try a juice transfer concept. The concept failed. The first year was special discount cheap. The second year? I won't renew ... blame Gargyl for that, and the other dropping domains.

I bought two because they were in my main niche (expats). I could develop them or I would sell if I received a nice offer. Otherwise, they can stay as they are - redirecting to my main site.

expat.co - short and to the point

emigrate.co - a reasonably popular one word dictionary generic

I'll hang onto these for a while yet, but I doubt if I'd rush out and buy any more unless they were highly relevant to what I do.
