Nice. PR7 - don't see many of those these days (available to buy anyway).
How do you plan on monetizing further? (if at all)
Lots of internal PR6 as well - all pages linked from the home page. And even several templates pages like this. Maybe 40, 50 or more.
Why don't you guys suggest how I could monetise (apart from pimping PR). So far my plans are to remove sitewide links. And... that's it.
congrats! that´s a great buy.
if i had more sites on webmaster niche i would use that one to help them. ups!you are already doing that. lol
Well, the obvious low-hanging fruit is just slap Adsense in the top left of the content area. You might try some affiliate programs with premium template shops, Rocket Theme has a good affiliate program I've heard and covers several of the top CMSs and Wordpress. For just Wordpress, you could try WooThemes and/or Thesis. Hosting company affiliate programs might work well too. You could also do a directory of premium custom designers and charge a listing fee.
I really stopped buying sites just based on PageRank way way back. 2005 IIRC. I'd really recommend to everyone to not buy a site unless you have a clear plan for monetization. But, I think you knew that Clinton and are just putting it up here for the sake of discussion. I hope the suggestions I made are good food for thought.

Actually, they are excellent suggestions, Peter, thanks. You've given me something to think about ... and some research to do.
I'm open to more / other suggestions.
ThemeForest has a good affiliate program that I've used well on similar blogs. And as Peter mentioned, Hostgator is a decent choice (go through CJ rather than direct). With a PR that high I'd imagine it gets a ton of private request for ads too? I'd imagine that would be the most lucrative way to monetize in this case.
You might also try BuySellAds.com, I think they're trying to focus on the design market. Not sure if the money is worth it with them, though, the CPMs didn't seem too great last time I looked, but I think that was the reason they started focusing in a specific market whereas they launched trying to cover anything and everything.
Wow, that site has some great backlinks. Nice looking site too.
Thanks for all the suggestions guys. I've got a few more leads to chase.
And I will be making another post later in relation to something delta4 brought up about this site via PM![]()
